Project Overview

The Cleveland Foundation Headquarters in MidTown is a LEED Gold-certified office designed with exposed mass timber and steel construction. Mechanical systems were intentionally visible, making craftsmanship and precision critical to the final aesthetic.

Geauga Mechanical delivered HVAC systems that met both performance and visual standards.

Industry Served:

The Challenge

With exposed ductwork and piping forming part of the architectural design, there was zero room for installation error. The project required:

  • Highly precise coordination
  • Clean, visually refined mechanical runs
  • Integration of VRV technology and hydronic systems
  • Advanced building controls

The Solution

Geauga Mechanical developed a fully coordinated model and created a virtual walkthrough that allowed stakeholders to review the exposed mechanical systems before installation.

  • Integrated hydronic hot water piping
  • Coordinated exposed ductwork with architectural intent
  • Delivered a clean, finish-level installation

The result

The completed headquarters showcases mechanical systems as part of the architectural experience while delivering efficient, high-performance climate control.
