Project Overview

The CrossCountry Mortgage Headquarters transformed four historic industrial buildings into a unified 168,000-square-foot corporate campus. The adaptive reuse project required precise coordination across structures dating back to 1913.

Geauga Mechanical played a leading role in delivering coordinated mechanical systems within the historic shell.

Industry Served:

Interior view of an industrial warehouse under construction, featuring exposed ductwork on the ceiling, unfinished walls, and a concrete floor. Various construction equipment and materials are scattered throughout the space, including lifts, piping, and red safety cones. The bright overhead lighting highlights the unfinished aspects of the building and the ongoing construction work.

The Challenge

Each building varied in height, alignment, and condition, creating significant coordination complexity. Challenges included:

  • Integrating systems across multiple structures
  • Preserving historic elements
  • Managing tight ceiling spaces
  • Leading MEP coordination across trades

The Solution

Geauga Mechanical utilized comprehensive 3D laser scanning to capture millions of data points and create a highly accurate coordination model.

Our team:

  • Led the MEP coordination effort
  • Integrated systems within existing structures
  • Installed exposed ductwork with precision craftsmanship
  • Delivered adaptable infrastructure for future use

The result

The completed campus blends historic character with modern performance, featuring exposed mechanical systems that complement the building’s aesthetic.

A spacious industrial-style cafeteria with round wooden tables and chairs, large exposed air ducts, and a prominent glass ceiling that allows sunlight to illuminate the area.
